David Baron
David Baron is a producer, composer, musician, and recording engineer. He has performed on pop albums, composed film scores, and composed and creative-directed sonic branding packages for television and advertising.
Biography
Baron is a producer, composer, engineer, and musician from Woodstock, New York. He has appeared as a musician on huge hits such as Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” (one of two musicians on the track that has more than a billion and a half YouTube hits), Lumineer’s Cleopatra (#1 Billboard record in the United States and the United Kingdom), and records by Michael Jackson, Bat for Lashes, Peter Murphy, Lenny Kravitz, and many others. He is the lead composer and producer of a large upcoming film project/installation by artist Gregory Colbert, a follow-up to Colbert’s “Ashes and Snow.” Baron has created signature music for television: lead composer for the launch of the Oprah Winfrey Network, composer of “It's All Inside” for JCPenney, co-composer of PBS Kids, and composer of countless television theme and branding music for almost every American network. BA of Music, Oberlin Conservatory. Baron taught at Bennington from Fall 2014 through Spring 2017.
