Allison Gomes

Vice President for Institutional Advancement

Photograph of Allison GomesAs part of the College’s senior leadership team, Allison is responsible for a comprehensive and integrated fundraising and alumni engagement program, including for raising funds to support programs, scholarship, faculty, and the College’s operations. Her team also engages with the alumni and parent communities and supports on-campus event planning. She staffs the Campaign Design and the Nomination and Governance Committees of the Board of Trustees. 

Allison joined Bennington in the summer of 2023 as Associate Vice President for Development and was promoted to the role of Vice President for Institutional Advancement in March, 2024. Previously, she led major giving efforts at Baystate Health Foundation, where she was responsible for developing strategy and providing leadership for the major giving program. Allison served eleven years in roles of increasing responsibility at Smith College, most recently as the Associate Director of Major Gifts. During her time at Smith, Allison closed seven- and eight-figure gifts and was a member of a team that successfully exceeded a $450 million campaign. 

Allison holds a bachelor’s from New York University and an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts. She has presented her work at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education conferences and been published in the Journal of Education.
