Giménez Smith Finalist for National Book Award
Bennington Writing Seminars faculty member Carmen Giménez Smith is a finalist for the 2019 National Book Awards in Poetry.
Giménez Smith has received this honor for her collection Be Recorder, published by Graywolf Press. Upcoming Poetry at Bennington guests Jericho Brown and Ilya Kaminsky are also finalists for this award.
Mary Ruefle '74 and Poetry at Bennington guest Ariana Reines were longlisted for the National Book Awards in Poetry.
Brown will read at Bennington on October 23, Reines will read on October 30, and Kaminsky will read in Spring 2020.
