Eva earned degrees in both International Studies and Spanish at Johns Hopkins University. Before enrolling in the Postbac Program at Bennington, Eva worked for the U.S. Dept. of State in Washington, DC, and Brazil; as a medical Spanish interpreter in Baltimore; and as a project supervisor for Amigos de las Américas in rural Panama.

“My decision stemmed partly from my experiences working as an interpreter and as a volunteer in the university-affiliated hospital in college, but also from my work in rural Latin America. I realized that I wanted to pursue this path because I want to be on the front lines working with patients, particularly those who are under-served or marginalized.

“My favorite part of Bennington is the accessibility we have to our professors, and the tools and resources we have at our disposal. I love the collaborative learning atmosphere of a Bennington classroom. I am so lucky to be surrounded by such a great group of peers at Bennington! They always support and challenge me to be my best.”
