Your campus email address is the primary way we communicate with you, so please check it often.

Ordering Course Materials for Spring Term

Course materials and textbooks for your spring courses will be visible in Bennington College’s academic information system, Populi. Once you’ve been registered for your courses, you’ll be able to see the course materials on each course’s “Info” page within Populi—just click on the name of the course in your schedule, and make sure you’re on the “Info” tab. Students are encouraged to review these pages, and to order all required course materials from a vendor of their choosing, well before the term begins. Although a limited number of books will be available for each class in the on-campus bookstore, these are primarily intended to facilitate the add/drop process.

Financial Aid Information

Financial aid documentation for 2016–17 aid is due by April 15, 2016. Please keep that in mind while on your FWT sojourn. Additionally, some financial aid recipients have yet to complete the FAFSA Data Retrieval Tool or obtain a Tax Return Transcript for the 2015–16 academic year. You have all been notified and if you are one of these students, please get this done and submitted before the Spring 2016 term begins; your aid cannot be disbursed without completing this. If you have any questions, please contact us by email or phone (802-440-4325).

College housing will reopen for the spring term at noon on Sunday, February 21, 2016. If you are required (for on-campus employment) to arrive earlier you must secure advanced permission from the Office of Student Life. Any student who arrives prior to opening without advance permission will be charged $100 per night. Students who need housing accommodations prior to their arrival date for extenuating circumstances should contact the Office of Student Life. If your request is granted, there is a charge per night for early arrivals. Please plan your travel accordingly.

Storage Information

All items stored in the Bingham basement and in Barnes storage areas must be removed by 9:00 am on Monday, February 29, 2016. Items not removed by this time will be considered abandoned property and will be donated or disposed of accordingly.
