Arriving on Campus/Opening of School
Houses open for returning students at noon on February 17. Please note that students who arrive prior to noon on February 17, and are given access to their room without advance permission from the Office of Student Life, will be charged $100. The meal plan begins with dinner on February 17, in the Dining Halls.
If there is inclement weather on Sunday, students are encouraged to travel on Monday or Tuesday as classes begin on Wednesday. We are not equipped to open prior to noon on Sunday, so please plan travel accordingly.
Important Reminder: Your student billing account must be current in order to remain on campus or attend classes. Please contact Lisa Harrington, Business Office Assistant (802-440-4353), for student account questions.

Shuttle Service
Are you returning to Bennington by plane, train, or bus into Albany? You may want to consider using the College’s shuttle service. The shuttle cost is $35 and must be paid in advance with your Bennington Card declining balance or by check. Checks should be made payable to Bennington College and mailed in time to be received by the February 8 deadline. Please write "Shuttle" in the memo line and send to the attention of Jeanne Burns-Coleman in the Office of Student Life, Bennington College, One College Drive, Bennington, VT 05201.
Students must reserve their place on a shuttle no later than February 8. Reservations may be made by submitting a reservation form or by contacting the Office of Student Life with the following information:
- cellphone number where you can be reached on the day of travel
- exact number of bags you will have with you
- where you want to be picked up (train, airport or bus station)
- specific travel information (i.e., flight/train details "Amtrak #88 arrives at 4:05 pm")
Reservation confirmation will be sent via email by February 8 for Senior Conference attendees and by February 13 for returning students. Reservations cancelled after February 8 are not refundable.
