Bennington students devote themselves to a number of community outreach efforts, often tied to the things they are pursuing in their coursework.

The Community Outreach and Action program provides opportunities for students to engage in the Bennington community through service, local leadership, and global education. Students work closely with community partners to coordinate volunteer opportunities and promote civic engagement. Students mentor with DREAM, teach for Four Winds Nature Institute, serve meals at the homeless shelter, build with Habitat for Humanity, create after-school programs with the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union, advocate for local sustainable farms, and educate peers on global issues.
