What do you do when your college doesn’t have a radio station? You start your own. In 2011, Jason Moon ’13, along with friends Cauley Powell ’11 and Ellie Shenker ’12, had the idea of bringing both recorded and live storytelling to campus. They proposed the idea to sound design faculty members Scott Lehrer and Julie Last, who helped shape the project in a continuing, multi-term tutorial. Together, they kicked off the Bennington Radio Project and the much-loved live storytelling event, “Thread.” Check out their podcast below.
