At this point in the term, CAPS is shifting its focus from taking on new clients, to providing support to as many students in as flexible a manner as possible.

Part of this shift will be discontinuing the intake request form for the remainder of the semester. Instead, students can sign themselves up for extended drop-in hours available throughout the week with therapists that are available at that time. Drop-in appointments are FREE to all students on campus. You can schedule using the button below.

What doesn’t change is your availability to utilize the 24/7 on-call crisis therapist by contacting campus safety and requesting to be transferred to the on-call therapist. This service is also FREE to all students on campus.

All students also have access to online therapy, coaching, and FREE immediate text/chat support available through TalkNow at: www.timelycare.com/bennington.com

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact CAPS through our email (caps@bennington.edu)

Thank you for your support over this term, and we look forward to working with you again in the fall! Congratulations to our graduates, we wish you all the best!

Young adulthood is a time of opportunity, challenge, and growth. At Counseling and Psychological Services, we understand how intense this time can be and are dedicated to helping students work to develop skills to manage the stresses of college and growing up. Our goal is to enable students to explore their behavior, emotions, and minds so that they can feel fully ready to manage their lives and experience the relationships and academic opportunities that Bennington College has to offer. The College is deeply committed to helping students manage this transition in a positive and effective manner. Counseling and Psychological Services plays a critical role in providing support for those students who need short-term support, for those who seek ongoing therapy, medication management, and crisis intervention.
